This week Scouts will continue working on the Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge, which is an Eagle Required Merit Badge. Scouts should print out and bring this MERIT BADGE WORKBOOK. Scouts should also bring a pen/pencil and their Boy Scout Handbook. As Scouts work on this Merit Badge they should take notes on what requirements they have completed in their workbook. Scouts should also obtain a signed blue card from Mr. Fedina. As Scouts fulfill requirements for this MB they should speak with either Mr. Turken or Mr. Kendall, who are both certified Merit Badge Counselors for this badge, and have completed requirements signed off. Please click on the below image to review how to properly obtain, complete, and submit a MB Blue Card.
This week will also be Klondike Derby sign up. The fee for participation is $12 per Scout/Leader and should be brought to this meeting. At the moment, the leaders’ guide is still in draft form, but the challenges will likely remain substantially similar to as they are written. Scouts can access the Leaders’ Guide HERE. The Leaders’ Guide also contains a list of required equipment.
Scouts should have fully updated ScoutBook accounts by this meeting. Please sign into your ScoutBook account and enter all rank advancement requirements you have completed. While requirements do not need to be signed off on in your handbook order to enter them into ScoutBook, they do need to be signed off on in your handbook prior to your Board of Review.
