Many thanks to Ms. Howe who each year gives us the opportunity to make the holidays a little brighter for a family in need. This year we will be helping out a single mom with six children. Ms. Howe will be at each meeting from now to December 7 to collect donations to the family, as well as any donations of gift wrap, tags, and tape. To help make sure we do not duplicate efforts, there is a Sign-Up Genius you can use to indicate what you are donating (please feel free to bring in donations even if you don’t sign up!!): Adopt-A-Family 2017.
From Ms. Howe:
Hello Everyone!
It’s that time of year again and we have received information for our Adopt-A-Family for Christmas. Ali Curtis has found us a family of 7 this year – a single mom of 6. I know this is our largest family so far, but I’m confident we can give this struggling mom and her children a Happy Christmas!
The following is a list of the children and their wishes/needs. While we are under no obligation to get all items on the list, I’m hoping we can fulfill everyone’s wishes!! I have to drop all UNWRAPPED donations off by December 15th, so I need you all to get everything to me by December 7th, giving me time to get everything boxed up to drop off. If you want to get some wrapping paper, gift tags or tape, it would all be greatly appreciated. If you are donating gift cards, grocery stores and WalMart are the most requested. You may bring donations in each week as you get them, I will be there each week to accept them. If you could give me a list of everything you are donating, it will make it easier for me to give the organization the listing they requested, as well as helping me keep track to make sure we get everything on their wish lists.
Let’s give this family a Merry Christmas everyone!!!
