Thursday, March 8: Troop Meeting. Scouts should bring their handbook, paper, and pen/pencil. ScoutBook accounts should be fully updated.
Friday, March 9 – Sunday, March 11: Troop Campout at D&H.
Wednesday, March 14: Delaware River District Roundtable. 7:00 p.m. @ Port Jervis High School.

Saturday, March 17 @ 11:00: Rank Advancement Swim Check at Minisink Valley High School Pool. Scouts should bring appropriate swimsuit, towel, pool shoes and their handbook. Scouts should come prepared knowing what rank advancement requirements they will be demonstrating to Mr. Kendall. Cost is $2 per Scout (cash, payable at the pool). There will be no free swim or instruction as this takes place during community lap swim. Scouts are to be picked up immediately following their turn therefore parents/adults are encouraged to remain on the pool deck for this event.
Monday, March 19: Troop Committee Meeting. 6:30 p.m. at Alan Turken’s Office.
Thursday, March 22: Troop Meeting & March Board of Review.
Saturday, March 24: HVC Merit Badge College at Minisink Valley High School.
Thursday, March 29: NO TROOP MEETING. SPRING BREAK.
Saturday, March 31: Rifle Merit Badge Workshop (Day 1 of 2) at Walden Sportsmen Club. Day 2 will take place on April 7. Both days are 9a-4p and both days must be completed in order to earn the Merit Badge. ** Not a troop event; listed for informational purposes.
PEEC Events: Many PEEC events fulfill rank advancement requirements. While these are not troop events, Scouts are encouraged to take advantage of the expertise offered by PEEC Environmental Educators to assist with rank advancement. Visit PEEC.org for more information.

Summer Camp 2018: Troop 169 will be attending Camp Read from July 22-28. Payments can be made at any time to Mr. Turken. Our new treasurer, Mrs. Kendall, is working on familiarizing herself with the Troop books and will provide Scout Account balances as soon as she is able. Thank you Mrs. Kendall for stepping up and volunteering for this challenging position. Registration for Merit Badges and other activities can be made by Mr. Fedina starting on April 1 for all Scouts who are paid in full.
