This Week: 11/17

This week there will be no meeting on Thursday, (11/16/17).  Instead, we will be meeting on Friday November 17th at the Orange County Emergency Services Center in Goshen. It is located on Wells Farm Road (off 6 1/2 Station Road). The event starts at 7:00 pm and we will begin to work on the Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge.
Rank Advancement Clarification: Second and First Class each have aquatics components.  For the purposes of rank advancement Scouts may show they have completed these requirements by either having a trustworthy person witness and vouch for them or by showing a video of themselves completing these requirements.  For the purposes of rank advancement only, these requirements do not need to be signed off on or certified by a certified lifeguard or WSI.  For all other purposes (i.e., swimmer classification at summer camp, merit badges participation, etc.) swim tests must be conducted by a certified lifeguard or WSI.
