Any Scout needing requirements signed off on in their handbook should arrive at 6:45 on Thursday. Mr. Fedina and at least one Scout will be available to sign off on handbooks at this time. Any ASMs or youth leaders that are also available to come at this time, please let Mr. Fedina know.

If you need a Scoutmaster Conference, please let Mr. Fedina know. This will be your last opportunity for a Scoutmaster Conference before next week’s Board of Review.

The last Board of Review of 2017 will be on December 21 and Scouts (not adults/parents) should contact Ms. Pallone if they need to schedule a Board of Review.
-
Scouts, not parents/adults, should be updating their ScoutBook account. We understand and respect that each family sets their own internet access rules. Parents/Adults can sign into the ScoutBook account and sit with their Scout as the Scout updates their account and accesses their advancement reports. A nice feature of ScoutBook is that you can scan handbook pages and blue cards (as jpgs) and upload them to ScoutBook in the appropriate place (i.e., scan your Tenderfoot requirements pages and upload them to your Tenderfoot rank advancement section in ScoutBook ). This way if your handbook or blue cards are ever lost, damaged, etc., you will have a handy copy of them.
-
Sometime between today and December 31, the Troop’s ScoutBook account will be synced with Internet Advancement. All ScoutBook information was backed up in the morning on December 9th (just in case because one never knows!). If you update your ScoutBook account after that date – please back up the information by downloading both your Individual Advancement Record and your Boy Scout History Report.
-
Updating your ScoutBook account does NOT eliminate the need to have your handbook signed off on. Your handbook may be signed off by any Scout who is at least one rank above you. For example, if you are a Tenderfoot working on Second Class, any Second Class (or above) Scout may sign off on requirements in your handbook. If you want to know what Scouts are a rank above you – please check out our new bulletin board. As well, any Assistant Scoutmaster may sign off on requirements.
-
Any Scouts working with a handbook that was published prior to 2016 should be having their requirements signed off on in the updated requirements insert.
