Even though there is no school on Thursday this week, we will still be meeting. Scouts attending the Camporee should look for an email regarding a meeting time to work on getting ready for the Camporee and to finalize carpooling and equipment responsibilities
Even if you are not attending the Camporee, you can help support the Scouts who are. September is National Hunger Action Month and BSA is supporting this effort with the Scouting for Food program. Our Camporee team can earn extra points with donations of canned food, non-perishable food, and personal hygiene items. Please bring all donations to this week’s meeting and support our Scouts while helping our local communities. All items collected will be distributed to food banks and pantries across our District.
This week’s meeting (starting at the usual 7:00 p.m.) will continue to focus on orienteering; please bring your compass if you have one.
This week is also Scoutmaster Conferences, a requirement for all rank advancements. If anyone needs a Scoutmaster Conference, please speak with Mr. Fedina. Next week (9/28) will be Boards of Review, also a requirement for all rank advancements. If you need a Board of Review please let Ms. Pallone know before next week.
Next month PEEC is holding an Environmental Science Merit Badge Workshop on 10/21. This is an Eagle required Merit Badge. Although the class is currently full, if your scout wishes to attend, please call PEEC and asked to be placed on the waiting list. PEEC is considering opening up more slots. Check out PEEC for more information.
